Preview of The Book Being In Balance by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer
Posted by: | Comments
Today’s post is all about Dr. Wayne W. Dyer’s book “Being In Balance.” In this book, he covers the nine principles for creating habits to match your desires. Let’s take a peek at what the nine principles are, and if you’re resonating with the sneak peek you can go out and get the book as a gift for yourself.
Principle # 1 is how to balance your dreams wtih your habits. “The greatest achievement was at first and for a time a dream. The oak sleeps in the acorn; the bird sleeps in the egg; and in the highest vision of the soul, a waking angel stirs. Dreams are the seedlings of realities….” – James Allen
Principle # 2 Dr. Dyer shares that there is more to life than making it go faster. He writes about ways to balance your desires in order to enjoy life with your need to achieve. This one hits home with me as a former workaholic. “One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one’s work is terribly important…” – Bertrand Russell
Principle # 3 Focuses on balancing how you see yourself with what you project to the world. “I care not what others think of what I do, but I care very much about what I think of what I do. That is character!” – Theodore Roosevelt
Principle #4 Dr. Dyer reveals why your addictions tell you that you’ll never get enough of what you don’t want. The teaching of how to balance your desire for what you want with your addictive behavior.
Principle # 5 Dr. Dyer journies into the emotions and feeling here with “You’re not what you eat; you’re what you believe about what you eat.” “Do not neglect this body. This is the house of God; take care of it, only in this body can God be realized.” – Nisargadatta Maharaj Imagine yourself balancing your desire to have your body feel great with what you feed it and how you exercise it.
Principle # 6 There is no way to discover light by analyzing the darkeness. Dr. Dyer shares how to balance your desire for prosperity with your habits of scarcity. “Every man is free to rise as far as he’s able or willing, but it’s only the degree to which he thinks that determines the degree to which he’ll rise.” – Ayn Rand
Principle # 7 When you fight any adversity, you’re only increasing the power it holds over you. In this principle, Dr. Dyer takes a look at how to balance your desire to live in a peaceful world with messages of evil continually bombarding you. “To see and listen to the wicked is already the beginning of wickedness.” -Confucius
Principle # 8 The title of this chapter is “Love is what’s left over when falling in love fades away”. Dr. Dyer covers how to balance your desire for love with feelings of not having enough love. “Those that go searching for love only make manifest their own lovelessness, and the loveless never find love, only the loving find love, and they never have to seek for it.” – D.H. Lawrence
Principle # 9 Our Earth is crammed with heaven…so the saying “Heaven on earth” comes to my mind. Dr. Dyer shares how to balance your spiritual life with your material life. “Life in the world and life in the spirit are not incompatible.” – The Upanishads
In summary, Dr. Wayne W. Dyer in his book “Being In Balance” takes you on a wonderful journey where you see and feel your unique creative process. You’re able to get in tune with what is at your core and start to take actions to adjust any out-of-balance thoughts that may come up along the way. It’s about re-alignment of your thoughts so you can restore balance and manifest your highest desires. If you like what you’ve read today, you deserve to have a copy on your bookshelf. Now that I’ve taken it off my shelf, I’ll re-read it over the course of this week.

How to be your own NLP Life Coach.
Posted by: | Comments
I like to keep things simple. How do you become your own NLP Life Coach? The answer is no secret…are you ready? “Decide.” That’s it! You must first decide, then of course you dig in and do. Take action steps as soon as you decide. Go ahead, ask yourself now “What one thing can I do today that will put me on the path to becoming my own NLP Coach?” I’m going to share with you what I’ve done over the past several years and it may give you some ideas to work with today as soon as you’re finished reading this post.
Many years ago I picked up a book written by someone who most people who have been on the journey of personal development have heard of. His name is Anthony Robbins. I read pieces of the book and then retired it to my book shelf. Then fast forward many years later in my life…You know the old saying, when the student is ready the teacher appears.
In early 2008 I was invited to a teleconference training that was being conducted by Michael Bernhoff . The name of his company is the Human Communications Institute. As soon as the training call was completed, I knew I wanted to learn more from Michael. I thought…he would be the perfect teacher for me at this point in my journey. He has many gifts and I feel one of the most important gifts he lives by and teaches is summed up in a quote on his website. Here it is-
“The way you effectively communicate with yourself and others will create unlimited possibilities in your own life and the lives of those around you.”
With that quote fresh in your mind, let’s look at an exercise you can do right now to begin your journey as your own NLP Coach.
First, I want you to ask yourself three simple questions and write down the first thing that comes to mind.
1- What is my life like?
2- What is making money like?
3- What are my relationships like?
I’m sure you’ll come up with some quick answers and those are the ones to write down now. Don’t try too hard or even think too much or you’ll miss the whole purpose of this exercise. Just write the first thing that comes to you when you ask yourself these three questions. There are no wrong answers. Go write it down now.
Now that you have the word or words that immediately came to you, write out a list of positive and disempowering things that are associated with each of the words (or stories you came up with) that you’re framing your life, relationships, and money around. Once you’ve done this and you’ve been 100% honest with yourself, you can re-write or adjust your script in these three important areas. I’ll give you an example below that I re-wrote in my life.
What is making money like? My old answer was…Making money takes hard work! It takes lots of hours to make lots of money. You must work really really hard and make big sacrifices. So my old way to making money was the hard way.
My new way of defining making money-
Making money is doing what I love most daily! I no longer have to work really hard to make lots of money. I’m working from my heart and loving the energy of being myself and this makes money come to me naturally and easily. Making money is heart work!
I’m so excited for you and your decision to become your own NLP Coach. Remember it’s a process a journey, so keep going and have fun. If you’re looking for a really AWESOME Mentor, I would suggest Michael Bernoff. He has delivered so much value to me in the past two years, it’s been life changing for sure. You can start by learning more about his Call 2 Action Course. It’s five powerful hours that are proven to get results. Also, you can get it all done right from the comfort of your home.

Safety, something you should not look for…
Posted by: | CommentsInstead, look to the future for Joy – it’s a better option.
Let me explain…While on your journey, it is a good idea to remember that security “safety” and joy may not come in the same package. They can…but they also may not. Really, there is no guarantee.
As my journey has taken me on highs, lows, and back to highs again…I’ve realized that there are no guarantees. If you’re setting your sights on certainty or safety and you’re making it an all or nothing requirement in your life, you’re setting yourself up to be disappointed.
If your primary concern is a guarantee of security, you may never experience the truest joys of life. Most of all, you will miss the best moments living in the security zone. This is not a suggestion to go out and become reckless, but it is an invitation to at least start to become more daring. Fill your soul and your emotional gas tank with plenty of courage, character, and determination.
This will give you strength and agility to make it through anything that may come your way and it will keep you focused on powering forward. This kind of power will allow you to seize each day and live your dreams.
Move boldly and do the right things now that will fuel your future. You don’t have to ask anyone else what it takes to succeed - it’s right inside of your heart, so grab it and go. You have all that you require to make each day your best. To be the leader that others are looking for.
Get out of your head and into your heart so you can live with passion and more joy. If you’re waiting on the perfect day, a day with total security, you’ll be waiting a lifetime. Do you really want to arrive at your grave safely by tip toeing through your life?
That’s it for my post today, I challenge you to let go if you’re holding on to things that are keeping you from true joy, love, and happiness! Ask yourself this key question each day…How am I being? See what it does for you.
