Six Key Subjects You Can Blog About That’ll Get Your Creative Juices Flowing!!!
Posted by: | CommentsPlus you can use these Six Key Subjects on your blog Over and Over!!!
In our world of fast paced social and online media, having a blog in place is essential to create a bond with your prospects and business partners. This is a place where they can plug in and feel what you’re about. Who are you? Most important, they will be able to get to know, like, and trust you even if they are several states away or around the world.
In this day and age, getting your blog rolling has never been more simple. There are many free services for you to pick from. I like wordpress.com myself as it provides an easy to use platform that is plug and play. If you’re not yet up to speed on writing, don’t sweat it. Just write the way you talk and you’re set. Check for grammar and spelling and remember that most people read comfortably at an 8th grade level, so you don’t have to be a superstar writer to have a winning blog that gets a lot of visitors.
Get into the right state of mind for blogging by just looking around and staying tuned to what is happening in the world and in your industry. You can even look at other blogs in your industry or outside of your niche and industry to see what is happening to get your juices flowing.
Here are six excellent types of posts you can use to assist you in getting started:
The How To- Take a look, How To Blog posts are all around. You can write about how to call prospects, how to call people you don’t know, how to manage your time, how to balance your time when working from home with small children, how to write effective copy, etc. The list can go on and on.
The resource list- People get excited about lists…take a look at Music and Movies or even David Letterman’s Top 10 lists. You can do top 3, 5, 20 or even 100. Example, The Top 5 Internet Marketing Mistakes New Marketers Make!
The Topic Everyone Steers Away From- How about taking a look at what is really on most everyone’s mind in your niche or industry but no one talks about it? Bring it out, stir it up, and watch the comments on your post fly! How about Why Some People Have A Wacked Out Mindset of Pyramid Scam or Scheme when they hear the words “Network Marketing”?
The Good Old News Feed or Report- It really doesn’t matter what niche you’re in, there is bound to be information overload these days…Take the latest breaking news by keeping your finger on the pulse of things and then add some value to your post by putting in your personal knowledge and things that the regular news feeds left off their coverage and write ups.
The Review- This type of blog post is simple and people love it! You can review books, DVD’s, Companies, Products, and Training etc. there is no shortage of items to write reviews on.
The BIG Dawgs- There will always be very large forces that shape the world, your markets, and basically your business. Some of these sources will come in the form of people, leaders, and big names – the ones that create credibility in your niche. While there will be other forces that cause challenges, go ahead and outline these forces and show your readers that you have a clear picture of it all. This will most likely assist some of your readers who are getting familiar with the heartbeat of it all!
In the end, make sure you blog and be YOURSELF. Remember that every day you have will not be 100% super fantastic and it’s ok to let your personality shine even on some of your not so good days. Just make sure you’re not known for always being a rain cloud. However, don’t put on a happy face 24/7 because you feel you have to… we all know that is not real. Afterall, people want to connect with people who are like them and that they can relate to.
Here’s an example of a post one of my leaders wrote recently…he lost his dear loyal friend, his doggie of many years. He wrote a memorial post and talked about how it hit him hard and put a picture of his beloved pet out for his readers to see. That’s real and it’s something that anyone with a pet will go through at one time or another, so it’s bringing out things besides just business topics. Let people see you and feel you so they can really connect to you!
Blog several times a week, It is important to stay consistent so the search engines will comb your site regularly and your readers will stay plugged in to what you’re doing. Put it as blocked time on your calendar. That’s how important it is to your business and the world!
