Since it’s always good to focus on what your readers see first in their inbox, put focus on writing irresistible headings for your E-mails. The first thing to consider is your name. Decide whether you will use your personal name or business name in the from line (sender’s). Keep this detail of your system consistent so your readers will know what to expect each time they see that name in their inbox.
Go ahead and extend that same idea into the subject line…for example if your E-mail contains your E-Zine, then you can consistently use it at the beginning of your subject line. When your readers see that, they will know it’s an important E-mail and they’ll open it more quickly.
When you’re creating the subject heading, make sure it’s going to grab your readers, making them say “Yes, that’s me!” or at a minimum make them curious enough to want to click and open your E-mail or E-zine.
When selecting your subject headings, you can re-use the same headlines that are in your website, E-zine, etc. for E-mails. Speak to your customer’s pain so they know you have an understanding of what they are going through. When you create headlines that reflect this, you will get your readers to open your E-mail immediately.

When creating the heading for your E-Zine, it can go something like this…let’s say you are in the fitness field “Fitness Made Easy Tips: Three Easy Ways To Lose 2lbs. a week!” This could be your January E-Zine and then in February it could read: “Fitness Made Easy Tips: Healthy Meals in Under 30 Minutes” then you’d go on with your theme for the year with the same consistent heading so your readers know when it’s you.
