In an interview Mike Dillard who put Attraction Marketing on the map (with his product Magnetic Sponsoring) he shared his thoughts on the concept of "You Inc."  Here is a quick snapshot of what he said- The You Inc. model is the way he builds his business these days.  He views his email list, Facebook list and Twitter list as his You, Inc. distribution channel. 

He says it is no different from owning say, Fox News, or any local cable news station.  The list is your channel where you disseminate your message and sell your goods.  Only today each of us has the ability to acquire our own distribution channel.  It may never get to the kind of volume of a Fox News…but it can be much more profitable, because it allows you to establish ongoing relationships with potentially hundreds of thousands of people around the world from your laptop. Your list becomes your business.  It’s your asset; and that’s where the money is. 

That’s where you can market your MLM opportunity and products, or affiliate products or whatever you like.  It’s a true business, unlike simply building a down line…which unfortunately is not really a business, because you don’t own it, the company does!
