How To Accomplish Goals...Set 5 Outcomes

30 60 90 Day Business Plan

How to accomplish your goals by setting 5 Outcomes for the next 90 days.  This is a surefire way to watch your successes soar.  You can use a simple format…Let’s begin.  First, look at April 1st as a mini-January 1st. You now have a fresh start a clean slate to create whatever it is you deserve and desire.

You brain works in three ways…the past, present and future.  The really cool thing is that the future is imaginary so you can create it in any way you’d like to and your brain will go along with what you create.

First start off with setting your Top 5 Outcomes for April, May and June.  What are the 5 biggest results you’re seeking in the next 90 days?  Each month you will have 5 outcomes you’re going for.  Immediately after your list of 5 make a list of 10 action steps that are required to hit the outcomes.  So for April you will have a list of 5 and 10 and May and June as well.

Here are some key ?’s you can ask of yourself while you’re creating what things will look like and the results “outcomes” you will achieve.  What new skills will you develop or continue to hone?  What goals will you strive for?  How often will you plan your day on paper?  How much debt will you pay?  How much will you save?  How much will you invest?  What will motivate you this quarter?  What is the one area in your business and in your life you will make the most improvement in?  What will you accomplish that will surprise your co-workers, friends or spouse?  Who will you have to become in order to get to your 5 outcomes?  What are 3 things you can do to improve your baseline?

Note-  Your baseline would be where you are right now in a specific area then you can plan the improvements and actions for increased success based on starting where you are right now.

Start with the end in mind and make a big, bright and bold picture of what your life and business will look like on June 30th.  After you have this picture big, bold and bright in your mind then you can begin to break down the steps to get there.

A few more planning tips-  I already shared begin with the end in mind, next be sure to mastermind with others you respect, incorporate “systems” into your planning and review your written plan often during the quarter.  If you have a day where you don’t get done what you’ve planned don’t self-judge and sabotage just jump back on to your plan as soon as you become aware you have drifted.

I’d love to hear about your successes and have you share your stories of planning your 5 Big Outcomes for the Second Quarter.  Share a comment I’d love to hear from you and connect.

Cheers-  Sharon Ann

Jay Abraham The Sticking Point Solution Recommended BookAs you saw in my quick little video…I was flipping through Jay Abraham’s Book The Sticking Point Solution to review his Top 10 Favorite Headlines.  As he shares in his book your headlines are just as important as the headliner at a rock concert.  When you go to a rock concert, the opening act is the warm-up for the main event.  But you’re there for one reason and that is to see the headliner.

Jay shares his top ten with Permission from Victor O. Schwab who wrote the book How To Write a good advertisement.  If  you don’t own that book then Jay says go and order it now.

The Top 10 in summary-

1-  “How To Win Friends and Influence People.”  This title helped to sell millions of copies of the now-famour book by the same title…however, without the words “How To” the headline would have been a trite little wall motto.

2-  “A Little Mistake That Cost A Farmer $ 3,00 a Year.” this little ad was placed in farm magazines due to the simple fact that sometimes negative ideas that offset “risk of loss” are even more attractive to the reader than the “prospect of gain.”

3-  “Are you Ever Tongue-Tied at a Party?”  This headline hits the self-concious wallflowers in the world…the people who read it and say “This is talking to me!”

4-  “Do You Make These Mistakes in English?”  Again, a direct hit and a key work inserted “These” makes the reader feel forced to find out what “These Particular Mistakes Are?”

5-  “When Doctors “Feel Rotten,” This Is What They Do.” See the paradox since we seldom think of Drs. in poor health.  Key distinctions…when they are you are getting the word right from the horse’s mouth this carries great authority and a reward for finding out what they do.  Also, the words Feel Rotten…this brings a human element to it that you can connect with.

Just with this quick list of 5 you can see the power and the punch that good headlines pack.  To get the remaining 5 that Jay lists you deserve to have a copy of his book.  This is just s tiny tiny piece of the value packed into the book.  Here is what Brian Tracy had to say about Jay Abraham’s book The Sticking Point…”"Jay’s innovative and dynamic approached to increasing sales, cutting costs and boosting profits are the simplest, most powerful and practical I have ever seen.”

Hope this post has brought some value to you in terms of creating great headlines.  Feel free to reach out and leave me a comment on what you liked most about this post or even what specifically you plan to use from the information to boost your business.
